It’s been so long since our last update that sometimes we find ourselves asking “is Ventura Science still alive?”. Of course we are, silly.

The end of 2017 and the start of 2018 have been periods of great growth, both personal and professional, and the quiet on the social front is of the very best kind: we’ve been too busy working on too many excellent projects to come out and play.

Like all periods of growth, some parts felt like they would be just pain and adjustment, with no payoff. Now that they are done, however, we can see how necessary they were.

We’ve stopped development of new game products. We haven’t abandoned them, but we did have to juggle limited resources and some great opportunities, which means that Pulses Academy is currently shelved, and we’re only going to release maintenance updates for Pulses, Pulses 2 and Deep Horizon.

At first, it felt like a huge sacrifice, but now that our next project is taking shape and picking up speed… it was worth it.

We’ve always been about health and fun, and we’re bringing our game development experience, tactical insights, and stubborn perfectionism to a product that’s going to change the way we think about connecting with each other.

It’s going to be a strong 2018, stronger than any year to date, and we really want to say more, but at this stage we just can’t. Is it a bird? It is a plane? It’s definitely faster than a speeding bullet and keeps breaking our performance benchmarks. It also has nifty tricks up its sleeve, and it’s all about you.

So for now, take this little heartbeat. It’s a little sign we’re still alive and around. We’re going to be showing more of our latest baby sooner than you might think… until then take care of yourselves, and each other.
